Meet Josh Christensen, our Head of HR & Accounting, self-described as “intense” but, by our account, a true man of action. Josh is the one who ensures our people are well-supported and paid. Though not an IT professional, Josh has always been interested in technology. When he saw the opportunity at Fairdinkum – in a Craigslist ad no less! – he thought it was the perfect blend of working with people and tech. After 13 years with us, we agree!

A native of Mississippi, Josh has embraced his time in New York and fully considers it home. When not at work, you will most likely find Josh on the volleyball court or watching tennis. His most cherished community is the volleyball community. According to Josh, volleyball is the ultimate team sport and leads to the strongest friendships. He is a player for Gotham Volleyball, as well as a board member. He is also dedicated to the members of NAGVA, the North American Gay Volleyball Association. These organizations have become his chosen family.

Never one to aim low, Josh recently completed the tennis “Spectator Golden Slam,” meaning he attended all four tennis grand slams and the Olympics in the 2024 season. And during his Olympic visit to Paris, he was in the arena when Simone Biles and Suni Lee won their gold and bronze medals in the gymnastics competition! Next up, hopefully, is a trip to Africa!

We are grateful to have Josh on our team and appreciate his willingness to always try new things. He lives by his own advice,” If you’re going to do something, be proud of whatever you do. If you can’t be proud of it, then you should probably reconsider whether it’s worth doing.”

And P.S. He does a killer karaoke rendition of Michael Buble’s “Just Haven’t Met You Yet.”
